Ying Xiang Pu-erh Cake (2005)
This smooth and rich Pu-erh exhibits both earthy and sweet qualities throughout its reawakening. The tea begins rather thick and soupy, coating both the mouth and stomach equally. Throughout brewing, the color gradates from darker brown to a more golden burnt sienna; flavors of earth gradually subside and a more sweet essence balances the tea nicely. For a relatively young shou pu-erh, this beeng cha has achieved a wealth of flavor, character and Qi energy.
